Rectilling
a nautical term referring to the use of the -n-s to hold the tiller in order to free up both hands for other sailing tasks. a nautical term; especially used in pseudo-sado-m-s-ch-stic, potentially-h-m-erotic short-handed sailing.
i prefer rectilling whilst rounding the bouys; gives me a free hand for the sheets and other activities.
