the action of completing a software upgrade that a vendor has not completely tested, yet pushed as such. they “hmm” and “err” their way through troubleshooting while implying it is every other component but their upgrade. meanwhile, they release additional patches that fixed bugs you found in their last patch faster than you can say, “let’s remegrade!”
“don’t remegrade your operating system yet. they’re still fixin bugs.”
“this remegrade is killing me. i’ve had to restore the application 7 times in the last 3 months while trying to bring the code up-to-date.”
