derogatory term for a someone who is part of the extreme wing of the (us) republican party, especially someone who is deemed racist, irrational, uninformed, unthinking, or paranoid. synonym: wingnut, fringenut; but repiggie, especially when capitalized, emphasizes the republican party connection.
