a typically flamboyant gay man that works in retail. usually a retail gay will say something like “i work in the fashion industry for nordstrom” this translates to “i fold clothes and sell designer clothes at nordstrom for a living.”
my friend tried to set me up with the only other gay person she knows, a retail gay that works at the mac counter.
