when an asian restaurant provides what appears to be reasonable rates on the main dishes but then heavily exploits the cost of the cheapest commodity as a per head cost.
i was enjoying a beer whilst perusing the menu at my local thai restaurant. the mains were all $13-$16 dollars each and when we asked for steamed rice it was $4.50 per head. for 4 people sharing just three mains that was a fairly aggressive amount of rice rape. afterwards, we still said thankyou!
