rolling stones

one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
enough said.
a person who likes to move often or is unwilling to settle down in one place or with one person or both. this phrase is based on the old saying “a rolling stone gathers no moss.”
“papa was a rolling stone, my son.
wherever he laid his hat was his home.
(and when he died) all he left us was alone.”

-the temptations
the great rock band that started the hard rock genere, which was sucsessed by led zeppelin. other bands were equally amazing like queen, ac dc, metallica, styx, aerosmith, and of course guns and roses. by the late 1980s the hard rock genere starts to die down after nirvana happened. now there is the cr-ppier alternetive, pop and rap generes. what is this world coming to? first hard rock got rid of disco and this how u repay us? hard rock shall live on for generations to come”
“hard rock is the best music ever! if you disagree, then may the hand of g-d strike you down! he invented the rolling stones, led zeppelin, queen, metallica, ac dc, styx, aerosmith, and guns and roses”
the bad-ss version of the beatles.
if you like the beatles, then you’ll love the rolling stones.
a horrible corporate ad-f-ck of a magazine that has reviewers who know almost nothing about music. while sometimes they will give high ratings to alb-ms that are worthy, they are often afraid to give sh-tty pop and pop-punk (britney spears, avril lavigne, good charlotte, simple plan etc…) anything under 2 or 3 stars. wtf is that?!?! not to mention all the cr-ppy rap that they have the nerve to call “art” (not all rap is bad but you wouldn’t know that from their reviews) they also take an mtv-esque whiny liberal stance in their politics section (i myself am a strong liberal but i find their articles extremely biased playing into hollywood style “limousine liberalism”)

in the end their just another glorifier (along with radio, the riaa and mtv) of bad music in america.

do yourself a favor and support indie artists and those with actual talent, not top 40 pop/pop-puck/emo/rap songs.
i will say some rolling stone’s music reviews are unbiased and dead-on, however the majority are complete bullsh-t.
a metaphor for something that is always moving or changing. this phrase has many connections to music: it’s the name of a magazine that focuses on pop culture and music, it’s the name of a band, and it’s a lyric in a song by bob dylan. these three things may be connected. a possible origin of this phrase is the old saying, “a rolling stone gathers no moss.”
a band that rocked in the 60’s with the help of the beatles. rolling stones debuted in 1963 with a song t-tled “i wanna be your man,” a lennon/mccartney composition.
