the song describes a man doing anything and going as far as he can for his love.
the video for rosenrot follows the lyrics closely, and depicts the band dressed as clergy members arriving in a romanian village in the mountains. till lindemann becomes romantically involved with a young girl there, and she commands him to kill several villagers. eventually, she betrays him and a mob burns him at the stake.
