Running a ducky
running a ducky is a common slang term to mean “running late.” it is only ever correctly used in gerund form.
“we’ve been waiting for 15 minutes! boy, he’s running a ducky.”
not: “the other day i ran a ducky. the guys were so p-ssed.”
