a false rumour that entrenched as truth in poor rural-majority countries
in egypt farmers believe a hot-air balloon that lands on their field brings good luck. they would, wouldn’t they – it brings them instant compensation from the balloon owner. it’s a contrived rural myth to disguise their greed. so for rural myth read rural math, you know, as opposed to urban math.
