Schtud
a recruitment term, often used by recruitment consultants and headhunters to describe a top-level candidate.
originating in j-pan from the word ‘shi-ta-do’, (done!) where j-panese headhunters would return late to the office from a meeting with a strong candidate.
sh-tado would imply that the work was done as the candidate was so good.
as foreign recruitment companies entered j-pan in the early 2000s, foreign employees took on the word sh-tado before they evolved it into schtud (to them, an alternative pr-nunciaton of the word ‘stud’).
that candidate was an absolute schtud.
38 years old.
