a same or opposite-s-x friend crush on someone you admire and want to befriend. this person possess qualities you look for in a friend. although you’ve never officially met them, you consider them a future friend and will go to drastic measures to reach true friendship.
“hey, danielle. where are you studying tonight?”
“oh, hey katie. i checked out facebook today, and my secret friend, james, works at starbucks. i overheard him talking to a friend in lecture today saying he has to work tonight. i think i’m gonna hit up starbucks later!”
“niiiiice. i can see your secret friendship really blossoming tonight. i’ll go with you for moral support.”
