secular theocracy
a purposely oxymoronic term for a doctrine or belief that includes no deity, yet seeks to censure non-believers in authoritarian ways similar to fundamentalist religious codes: inhibition, prohibition, penalties, physical punishment, signal-jamming, civil disruption, rough or violent confrontation.
when those demonstrators against genetically modified kitty chow were rioting blocking traffic and torching boxes of cat food, it was another victory for secular theocracy.
