sheet cred
respect between writers, or of readers for a writer, based on the quality and substance of their writing. amount of writing published or number of copies sold can be, but isn’t necessarily, a factor, as quant-ty is not always indicative of value.
i don’t care how prolific he is or how many copies he’s sold, james patterson has no sheet cred. he’s good at driving plot, but that’s about it.
