Shit Rolling
the act of working a poorly paying job with no hope of advancement, with the expectation that you will be doing something else (specific or ambiguous) in the future. originated from australian slang. possibly coming from either the phrase ‘getting sh-t rolling’ spoken sarcastically, or the description of one’s own job with the imagery evoked by the literal interpretation of the phrase.
i’m just sh-t rolling at walmart until i start grad school in the fall.
i’m working down at arby’s now. it’s sh-t rolling but at least it pays the bills.
