a euphemism for “pubic hairs,” itself in this context a euphemistic metonymy for “b-lls”. it is used mostly in expressions such as “to have someone by the short hairs,” which is to say “to have someone in a very difficult or hopeless situation,” equivalent to “to have someone by the b-lls.”

although i cut my hair short and layered, i am as straight as they come :).
warning: if you plan on flirting, seducing, or hooking up with guys, i suggest long hair because men tend to like that type more (although i have proof that boys like short hair too).
