slopie refers to someone that flies radio control gliders on a slope. for decades, rc enthusiasts have flown their rc gliders off cliffs and mountains where the prevailing wind will hit the slope and cause the air to rise, giving the gliders lift. many of these slopes can be found along the coast lines of countries and also in the mountains inland.
bob has been flying slope gliders for many years. he is a real slopie.
