the act of being so inept in the internet age and dealing with social networking sites, that you let a somewhat-controversy caused by you mouth being directly connected to your -rs- to become an all out internet meltdown, affecting your life and job prospects – and/or – your business’s profit and goodwill. see: kleargear, applebee’s, chick-fil-a, and more recently, gallop asian bistro.
1st person: hey, did you see dan cathy, chick-fil-a president’s, anti-gay stance on ‘twitter’?
2nd person: b-tch, please. i’ve been following it all day on their facebook page. everything they say makes it worse. they’re committing social media suicide.
