a spam shelter is a place of refuge created on online message boards in times of intense spamage. role-playing is often prevalent at such times and talk of smoking weed and fighting the spam often takes place.
the totse member ford prefect created the first spam shelter when totse was under a m-ssive attack by eight_ mullato. the thread reached over 250 posts before unfortunately being deleted in a following spam attack. many similar topics have popped up since then.
