spamcasting

the act of emailing a doc-ment to a group of people asking them to update the doc-ment with their own details. as each person updates the doc-ment, they re-send the new revision to the group so everyone has an updated version.

this is particularly infuriating when you happen to be near completion of your editions and somebody beats you to the next revision, forcing you to re-edit using their newer version.
i wish the boss would stop spamcasting those excel spreadsheets around.
