spawn pacing
a gaming strategy (usually seen in rpgs) that is tedious for the player and bizarre-looking to anyone else watching the game, in which the controllable character is maneuvered back and forth in the same sp-ce on the map in an attempt to generate some sort of event. typically, this is done as part of grinding procedure, in hopes that a minor enemy or resource will sp-wn.
i’m attempting the genocide route in undertale, but i’m doing a lot of sp-wn pacing waiting to kill all the enemies. who thought cold-blooded murder would be so boring?
