Stasis index
a measure of unmerited popularity of a new band. it is defined by the following formula:
# of fans – # of tee-shirts sold / (# of shows played – # of songs recorded)
the greater the stasis index, the greater the unmerited popularity. it is named after the technical melodic post-indie-core progressive rock band stasis, from boxford , ma, whose stasis index is undefined.
“yo dude, you hear about this band stasis?”
