when you trick someone into believing some made up story that couldn’t possibly be true, but coming together as a group to keep the story going
alex, for example, is engaged (clearly not) and everyone knows that he isn’t, but a group of people pick one idiot and convince them that it’s true, this person is the victim of a stiffyism
