Stumponics


a specific type of jargon used in the city of portland, oregon, u.s.a.

portland, oregon was nicknamed stumptown in the mid 19th century, when the city’s growth forced land to be cleared quickly to accommodate the growth, but the tree stumps were not immediately removed.

currently there are 8 subcategories of stumponics in pdx.

these subcategories pertain to each geographical and by nature social graphical region of the city. the regions divided by the willamette river which runs south to north and sprawling burnside street which runs east to west.
