a genre of pc games that have been gaining (un)popularity since around 2013 from their promotion on steam and youtube gamers who buy them just to make a video b-tching about how cr-p they are. this is not a complete list, but t-tles in the stupid simulator genre include:

games that are not in the stupid simulator genre (although they may be borderline)

youtubers that make videos on both genres of game include pewdiepie and the much less annoying gamer who doesn’t insist on having some stupid face cam, nerd cubed
i am bored and have £5 to spare, i’ll buy the latest stupid simulator on steam. that should kill an hour.
