suicide attempt
an attempt to take one’s own life. this can mean going through with an act (jumping off building, taking pills, etc) or being about to go through with an act and back out of it (back away from building edge, put down pills, etc) it is a very serious thing that needs to be treated with concern.
alex: last night i had a suicide attempt, but i put down the pills.
