what happens once the sun sets to people (the elderly) with alzheimers. they get really delusional, agitated, confused, and start mentally crashing.
“grandma’s having her sun downers again, she’s getting hysterical and wants to know when her mom’s gonna pick her up from school.”
someone who is negatively affected by the sun going down. often refers to people with alzheimer disease or other mental illnesses losing control at night.
“you could have warned me that old lady was a sundowner! 7pm hits and she starts trying to lick all the nurses”
“i’m ok during the day but as soon as night hits i feel crazy and horrible. i’m such a sundowner”
when a guy goes down on a woman with a large blonde bush.
gary: you know that blonde bartender at school
larry: yeah?
gary: she’s never shaved down there… ever
larry: how do you know?
gary: gave her a sundowner last night.
a version of many songs performed by chicago’s the lawrence arms punk rock band, but done on acoustic by their b-ssist, chris mccaughan. he plays many acousic versions of “larry arms” songs, along with some that he writes himself.

he is usually alone, but is accompanied by jenny choi, who plays cello, keys, and vocals, then there is eli caterer, who plays electric guitar, and there is the lawrence arms’ drummer, neil hennessy, who sometimes plays b-ss guitar.
