a woman with a superwoman complex constantly needs to prove that she is smart, secure, strong and self-sufficient. the complex makes her continually compete with the men in her life, often emasculating those closest to her. women who have had to fight patriarchy in their early lives suffer most strongly from the superwoman complex.
