also known as smod, is a meme in the conservative blogosphere. faced with frustration that no conservative candidate for president in the 2012 us presidential primary season seems to be getting enough votes to prevent perceived moderate mitt romney from winning the republican nomination, conservative bloggers alexthechick, slublog and laurww created the smod meme and endorsed smod over mitt romney in the presidential primary. “sweet meteor of death” is a giant meteor hurtling through sp-ce, headed for the planet earth, and is expected to wipe out all life on earth.
