Tarrana

“tar – anna” (n.) – also spelled torana

an annoying, incorrect pr-nounciation and spelling of the capital of ontario, toronto (the most populous city in canada, and 5th most populous city in north america).

most commonly used by the 18-25 year old demographic, typically the ‘slang’ is used on popular social networking sites such as facebook, mysp-ce & twitter.

it is a deliberate spelling/pr-nouciation error which inaccurately describes any canadian accent but rather a new jersey or southern states dialect.
