abbreviated as tyfys. it is a term used to adequately thank those in public service. primarily this term is used for those in the fire, rescue, and ems community. individuals earn a tyfys typically post photos of themselves (selfies) on social media platforms to showcase what they do. examples include photos in their uniform, photos of amazing training exercises, eye popping photos of their apparatus and gear, and photos of amazing incidents where they are not actively involved.
