the deluge refers to the movement sparked by the s-xual -ssault allegations made against movie producer harvey weinsten. since his toppling, victims of powerful people who have committed acts of s-xual har-ssment, s-xual -ssault, s-xual coercion, power threats, rape, lewdness and s-xual demeaning have been encouraged to make their voices heard. in subsequent news articles, the deluge has been referred to the weinstein effect or a complete explanation of what brought it on. a deluge is defined as a severe flood. the deluge of victims finding their voice has been significant and poises our society on the edge of a new paradigm in how s-xual -ssault, s-xual har-ssment, rape, s-xual coercion, power threats, lewdness and s-xual demeaning is dealt with. it is a marker in history and going forth, after the deluge will refer to all incidence recorded after the victims found their voice in october of 2017.
