wow the postal service is amazing.
an indie band, with the same lead singer as death cab for cutie, with excellent beats, catchy songs, and crafty lyrics.
i just listened to the postal service, and now i am totally addicted.
a band made up of two men named, benjamin gibbard and jimmy tamborello. they have a cd called “give up”. they are quite fantastic.
the postal service rocks my d-mn world.
the postal service “sleeping in” is a superb song pete!
a very good band with great lyrics and a soothing sound that i love but will probably soon be ripped away from me by mtv and teeny-boppers.

while listening to the postal service last night, i was postal serviced.
the greatest band ever
started by ben gibbard (( the lead singer for death cab for cutie) a man named jimmy tamborello heard the lashing of los angeles in a great song of the alb-m “the photo alb-m” and asksed gibbard to lay down some vocals for his up and coming alb-m. after this was released , the relationship was established
gibbard started receiving cd-rs from tamborello filled with beatsy electronic music, which he manipulated in his computer before writing melodies and lyrics and recording vocals. he also added some guitar, drums and keyboards – much of which was recorded by death cab guitarist chris walla at his hall of justice studio – and then sent the demo back to l.a. gibbard had to run his changes past tamborello.
though it’s tempting to call it an “’80s-sounding” record because of its keyboard-driven pop sensibilities, there’s nothing retro about give up
on the other hand, fans of death cab will hear faint echoes of gibbard’s main band in the postal service, but overall it’s a completely different experience.

a kick–ss band, similar to death cab for cutiie, but with more of an upbeat. they have an alb-m called “give up” if you wanna check ’em out, listen to “such great heights”, “sleeping in”, “we will become silhouettes”, and “this place is a prison”
