third wave feminist
basically a joke……
…a tragic embodiment of modern misandry that’s a far-cry from actual feminist causes of previous generations. unlike the first and second wave feminists, whole fought for voting rights, and equal pay and reproductive rights, respectively, third wave feminists conjure up 21st century notions of “western patriarchy” in the form of manspreading, poorly researched wage gap claims, misleading rape statistics, mansplaining, etc.
the most vocal third wave feminists appear to be upper middle cl-ss and white. because of this, many of them have not actually faced real-world issues. therefore, they are quite emotionally fragile, arrogant, immature, and ent-tled. what these third wave feminists fail to recognize is that they are among the most privileged women in the world. in many cases they enjoy more privileges than men. instead of addressing issues around the world where women live under truly patriarchal societies. instead they prefer to engage in “lazy activism” by mob-tweeting trivial things.
girl: “we need to fight against the machismo, the patriarchy, then bring it down!”
guy: what “machismo and patriarchy”? you mean here in the us?
girl: “yes!”
guy: “but in the us, women are legally equal t…….”
girl: “stop mansplaining here! women are get paid less than men! there is a rape culture going on, on campuses and women get unwanted catcalling in public places all the time!”
guy: “but most of those things you speak of are more urban myth rather than fac……”
girl: “how dare you question my words!”
guy: “you’re a third wave feminist, aren’t you?”
girl: “stop har-ssing me! hate crime!”
