Tionglish
when speaking with people from china with a thick accent, we can’t really decipher what they’re saying, so the english inadvertently turns into tiong-lish.
the word stems from “ah tiong”, a phrase used commonly to describe dirty unwashed people from china.
i couldn’t understand the tionglish she was speaking, i almost mistook “contribution” for “country building”!
