Townie (SK)
a person or individual who usually resides around or lingers in a town or city centre. parasite of malls, these people can often be seen with long flowing fringes obscuring the eyes, band t-shirts, and skinny jeans. often the individual is completely unaware that they fulfill the definition of a townie. they will deny it in their ignorance. the brackets “(sk)” indicate another popular name for a townie, a scene kid.
the term “townie”, can be applied in many ways. possibly a direct statement, nickname or words describing the individual.
for example: hey townie!, harry “townie” colovic, that guy is such a townie. etc.
the word townie is also interchangeable with scene kid (hence townie (sk)).
