german slang for a trabant, just about the cr-ppiest automobile that has ever been built (our edsel running a close second), with some parts made out of cardboard, yes, cardboard, an engine that seems like there’s a mouse running around on a rubber band, and thick noxious black smoke constantly spewng from the exhaust. once junkheaped, this car is a recycler’s nightmare: along german roads and in junkyards, you’ll see thousands of them in various stages of decay, littering those places.
fritz had a car that suggests his name: a trabbi, always on the fritz.
