Trapt

an actually good band when you get past the whole -sshole part of yourself.

trapt is a post-grunge/alternative metal band that originated from california in the united states, although they are often -ssociated with the nu-metal bands that originated around the same time period – most of which have since disbanded. the band released their first self-t-tled alb-m in 2002, followed by ‘someone in control’ in 2005.

for some reason they have been -ssociated on urban dictionary with other bands such as black sabbath and iron maiden, primarily by people who apparently consider themselves to be “cooler” because they listen to niche bands – despite these bands having nothing in common with trapt.
ultra-cool niche band listener: iron maiden are so much better! trapt is a band for posers!
other guy: perhaps i listen to them because i enjoy the music more than what you listen to, because iron maiden are hardly definitive on ‘what’s good’.

(for this example to work you have to look past the increasingly common thought among some metal listeners that some people listen because they like the music, not because they want to appear cool by listening to niche music)
actually good nu-metal band. they have 3 alb-ms, the latest being “only through the pain”.

just another cr-p nu-metal band. ozzy osbourne is so much better than any new band. you guys gotta listen to some good stuff…
