tube snob
a guitarist who only likes tube amps, and hates amps that use other technology.
the amps tube sn-bs hate are solidstate and modellers.
being a tube sn-b generally is wrong, as there are good ss and modelling amps such as the line 6 vetta or flextone. most of them are un-informed about good ss/modelling amps, and base their opinon on terrible ss/modelling amps.
very annoying to argue with, as they always think they’re right.
jack went to guitar center, and tried the line 6 vetta. he liked it.
however, because he was a tube sn-b, he decided to get something that has tubes, even though he really liked the vetta.
