the islamic quranic description of a jew or christian. sometimes the word ‘disbeliever’ is used in the same way but still has the same meaning. see also kafir
qur’an 5:73 “they are surely unbelievers who blaspheme and say: ‘g-d is one of three in the trinity for there is no ilah g-d except one, allah. if they desist not from saying this blasphemy, verily a grievous penalty will befall them—the unbelievers will suffer a painful doom.”
