Unicorn moment
a “unicorn moment” is when somebody gets off the subject of a conversation, or when one gets “side tracked” from a task without realizing it.
eg1: person “a & b” conversation.
a:”we went to this show and it was cool, the bands were great.”
b:”who was playing?”
a:”some local bands”
b:”when is the package supposed to arrive in the mail?”
a:”that was a total unicorn moment”
eg2: person “a” intended on mowing the yard. “a” starts mowing the yard then stops to water the flower garden and completely forgets to finish mowing the yard.
eg3: person “a” goes online to check bank account and logs into a social network site and forgets to check bank account.
eg4: “i don’t have add, hey look a unicorn!”
