one of the best bands of the moment. have released two alb-ms to date: “vampire weekend” and “contra”.

best songs include, in no particular order: “giving up the gun”, “a-punk”, “mansard roof”, “cape cod kw-ssa kw-ssa”, “i stand corrected”, “m79”, “cousins”, “the kids don’t stand a chance”.

vampire weekend consists of four guys, ezra koenig (main singer, guitar), rostam batmanglij (keyboards), chris tomson (drums) and chris baio (b-ss guitar).

debatably the best band of all time. alb-ms: vampire weekend and contra (new release). band met at columbia university, and has been playing for a few years.

a terrific indie rock band. vampire weekend established their unique and unlikely sound on their debut alb-m, which combined punk with cl-ssical, new wave, and worldbeat music. the alb-m was terrific, but even better is their 2nd alb-m (contra), which, while still containing their sound from their debut alb-m, explores genres such as synthpop, more 80’s, ska, and reggae. contra is a cl-ssic and arguably one of the greatest modern indie records ever made. they’re also notable for their unique lyrics from ezra koenig, using unique nouns in his songwriting to make it sound really cool.

i am a huge vampire weekend fan, and when they announce a third alb-m, i will freak out. they are one of the best bands ever, and will continue to impact mainstream indie rock with every alb-m they release.

a vampire weekend is one in which you are staying up late, throughout the night and either not sleeping at all or catching up on sleep during the day time. basically you are more active at night then the day.

a multiple day s-x binge with a girl while she is on her period. going to a concert as opening act is optional as is it being an actual weekend. some people insist oral s-x on her is a requirement. others (van helsing crowd) say simply staking her repeatedly and a bl–dy mess is all that is required, even going as far as to suggest deflowerings be included as vampire weekends.
