a velocitophitic wave is a word i just made up because i’m a geology major and thus describing the abject wave that is going through materials of varying velocity. tophus: latin, meaning stone. tophi; plural. it is the concept of a wave within rock and can be used quickly to describe movements within the earth to mere peasants on the street.
