a large p2p network in china, has a good collection of music, movies, tv shows, video games, anime, manga and software. uses a modified version of emule called easymule and as far as i can tell nothing ever gets taken down unless the government finds it objectionable.
the pros are:
-large database of goods
-takedowns are rare unless the government hates it
-large user base
-there’s no p-rn (unlike limewire that has p-rn randomly placed everywhere)
-large variety of file types (e.g. .mkv , .rmvb , .avi , etc)
cons:
-compared to bittorrent it still has a long way to go in terms of file database
-file transfer rate is kinda slow (the fastest i’ve seen is 150 kb/sec)
-animes with english subs are hard to find
-j-panese only games rarely has english patch forcing you to find them on google
-there’s no p-rn
overall it’s a good site to use when some of the other ones are subject to takedowns or other things.
i avoided dmca lawsuits by going to verycd as they’re too busy with demonoid and pirate bay at the moment.
