virtual pilot
a posh term for a gamer who plays video games that at least roughly fall into the flight simulation category. these games include x-plane, il-2 sturmovik, rise of flight, aces high 2, dcs: a-10c warthog, battlefield 4 and war thunder. virtual pilots who mostly play war oriented games often join a clan (labeled in the scene as “squad”, “jagdgeschwader” etc) and subscribe to some form of fascist or spartan ideology.
