Visi-Mode
a word used to describe a person’s att-tude, or lack thereof, after hearing or seeing something they feel totally in-different about; tuning-out. it comes from the generation of m-ss mobile text users, and millions of im (instant message) users; when someone appears to be offline, but in actually they’re only invisible to people on their buddy list; and new form of giving the cold shoulder, literally.
tom: jessica and i wanted to go watch a movie, and grab something to eat.
jack: she told me that she was sick, and didn’t feel so good.
tom: really?
jack: (silence)
tom: oh, jack, don’t go visi-mode on me.
