wannabe genius
a person who constantly is putting forth the image of being a genius or an intelligent person (usually by mimicking tv or movie characters), when in actuality, he or she is mediocre at best.
someone who superficially seems bright, but once they open their mouths, make a complete and total -ss out of themselves.
“man, what’s with russ’ new thick rimmed gl-sses? he has perfect eyesight”
“yeah, he’s a complete wannabe genius. total phony.”
