Wannabe Metal
a genre of music in which a band tries to be a metal band. characteristics include screaming comparable to someone being raped, dubstep remixes, similar chord progressions in every song, and crazed fans who take offense to the term “wannabe metal.” examples include underoath, asking alexandria, and emmure.
musician: “what’s that awful noise? sounds like wannabe metal.”
fool: “its not wannabe metal! its post hardcore!”
