whats occurring? is another way of saying “what’s up?”. it is thought to have derived from the show gavin and stacey but is actually a common cardiff (south wales, britain) phrase.

gwen: nothing much, daf. ‘might pop down the pub later though.
daf: i might catch you down there but i gotta run, the wife’s wanting me home.
