Wuhanese

a horrible sounding chinese dialect from central china. technically, the dialect spoken in downtown hankou but is now used widely across the city by its 8 million inhabitants.

to understand what this dialect sounds like, imagine something half way between the chinese spoken in old jacky chan movies, and the kind of german that hitler spoke making propaganda speeches. when you have that sound in your head, imagine someone speaking like that but using an artificial larynx device (that old smokers use when they can’t talk anymore). that’s exactly what wuhanese sounds like.
hearing wuhanese just makes me want to hit people.
extremely straight-forward ethnic group of china. stay away from this species at all cost.
