Yamuna Maa


in hinduism, yamuna maa is depicted as the goddess of rivers and the river yamuna. she is sister to the hindu g-d yama. in many pictures she is seen holding a haar (floral nacklace) offering it to the lord shrinathji and on the otherside of the picture is maha prabhuji. her holy water still flows throught the banks of the holy yamuna river. the yamuna and ganga river are the two most important rivers in the hindu religion and are sister rivers.
yamuna maa is worshiped as the goddess of rivers.
